Elder Rights Advocacy - Information and Advocacy
Provider: Elder Rights Advocacy
About this service
Elder Rights Advocacy supports older people, their families and representatives in Victoria address issues related to Commonwealth funded aged care services. This service is free, independent and confidential.
Older people living in Victoria and their families or representatives can call for information about any aged care issue, including residential aged care, home care packages and other home and community care available. The advocacy team listen and support people to advocate for solutions that best meet their needs. This typically involves supporting older people and their families to communicate their needs and have these listened to and acted upon by service providers. In some instances they will advocate strongly to an aged care service and challenge them to provide better care.
