The Library of Aged Care Things

Provider: Bolton Clarke Group

About this service

The Library of Aged Care Things commits to sharing equipment such as walking frames, scooters and occupational therapy equipment, with those who need it. This is a free service. Donated equipment is cleaned, serviced and tested, then matched to an older person who needs it. In the Flemington/North Melbourne area, volunteers deliver to the recipient’s door. In other areas, the person borrowing the equipment will need to organise delivery.

The aim of the Library is to reduce the cost of care for families when supporting their parents to remain at home for as long as possible. The service also reduces landfill and upcycles equipment that older people need.

Areas serviced: North Melbourne and Flemington. (Other areas by arrangement.)
